Has it really been 5 years?! (sure feels like it haha) It's been a long journey and I'm so glad you've all been with us. We finished the 6th Monte Cristo animatic, almost thought we'd never get it done for a while there, but we never stopped, working around life and uni to bring it to you all. Now it's onto the next big thing! Our next video may take a little while again, but we'll get it done eventually :'D ~~~~ InkPotts now has a discord server :D https://discord.gg/tEpauDq Now you can chat with us and other fans! See you next time!

Gosh, the year's flown by so quick! I hope everyone's been well :D The InkPotts household has been a barrage of projects these past few months; class work, work experience, and paid work. Sometimes feels like we have no free time, but it's been fun working on games and stuff for class. Monte Cristo had to take something of a backseat during this time, we've been working on bits and pieces, but it's sometimes hard to motivate yourself when you have other responsibility hanging over your shoulder; what with our Game Making course starting Major Production! We pitched a game idea together to the rest of the classes, and a few people are helping up to make it :DDDDDD So we're gonna be busy with that mostly, and I'm in charge as the Lead Designer! So it's scary, but fun. Scary-fun :) On the plus side, the final Monte Cristo animatic is finally fully story-boarded and planned out, we figured it out a month or two ago, but for a long time there it didn't have an ending (oops!) Didn't tell you guys cause we always had an ending for the animatic, but we were never really happy with it, you know? We always wanted to change it at some point. Hope you guys don't mind these inconsistent updates and that you're all having a great year, love you guys <3 Since you haven't seen us in a while, here's a pic I posted to our patreon last year^
It's a page from Annabelle's artbook! Whenever I see pages in her book like this it reminds me of moodboards, they're just an entire page of emotions and faces that I tend to stare at, and I thought you guys might like to see them too! Until next time :D Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Let's blame it on the holidays.
I hope everyone is well, we've been getting back into the swing of things. Our Game Making course has started up again (we're second years now!), and things, while still busy, are starting to get into a routine once again. The Final Monte Cristo animatic is on it's way to being completed. We've still got colouring and shading to do, but it shouldn't be long now! Whoo! Betcha all glad to hear that. What did you guys get up to over the holidays, or what have you been doing lately? Our older sister came home for a few weeks, had a nerf gun war on Christmas, got me a new shirt (it has pictures of watermelons on it XD), got to see my friend after a year! and been getting back into writing stories again. I'm just overall trying to manage my time better this year. Take time for me, and also have time for school and work. I hope this sates all of you until the next update. Talk to you again later! Whew, things have been busy. We're nearing the end of the term for our Game Design/Art course, then it's the holidays! That means free time to work on the animatic! And you'll all be pleased to know progress is being made on it. We got stalled for a while there due to the course, but we've been getting bits and pieces done during our spare time. The rest of the parts from my Carnival Game Playthrough I mentioned in an earlier blog have been uploaded, so if you haven't already, check them out! The current game project for class is nearing the Due Date so things are in overdrive here, so I'll leave you with an in-progress image from the upcoming animatic :D Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday, and enjoy!
I made a game guys! (Kind of).
It's not a full and finished game, it's just a little slice of a game that I made because I am currently completing a Game Design course. I'm still in my first year, but it is what I've been up to for the past few months for class. I've filmed a play-through of it so you all can see it too! Travesty Carnival Play-through Part 1 If you all remember from my previous Blog Post, you'll remember I mentioned an assignment I was working on, this is that assignment. And you'll also probably remember that piece of artwork Annabelle made, well that fellow is in the game too! She did the character designs for the game, everything else however was all me (excluding some audio files, and the more complicated bits of coding, but everything else you see, I made). I'm really happy with the game I made, even if it is missing some textures, and additional characters (not to mention one of the mini games still isn't complete). It was a fair amount of work to get done in that amount of time considering I've never used the programs before, but I'm pleased with the result. I hope you are too. Only the first part of the game is up currently due to Vimeo's uploading limit, but don't worry, next week I'll post Part 2, and then the Final Part a week after that. Enjoy! Hey People! Things are in high gear around here, though sadly the animatic is being pushed to the side for a week, at the most. This is because I have a deadline coming up on an assignment in a couple weeks, and I need Annabelle's help with some art for it. So I'm sorry for dragging her away but I have a very close deadline, and Annabelle needed the distraction (she's been a little run down working on the same thing for a while now). So this break is good for her. Here's a little pic if you're curious. It's still in the planning stages, can't say much more about it, Annabelle will probably upload the rest of the images on her DeviantArt once the project's finished. If you guys have any questions or suggestions for blog posts you'd like to see then let me know, I'd be happy to know. Until next time!
Hey, thought I'd give everyone a little update on what been's happening.
Progress on the 6th Monte Cristo Animatic is happening, just not as much as I'd like. It's just been a little hard to find the time what with our Course, Job Hunting, and Commission work taking up all our time, (though on the plus side the job hunt might be coming to an end!) I've been looking into ways to keep us more active online, and to help keep us on schedule and I think a weekly live-stream might be cool. I need to work some things out and see if our internet connection is stable enough to handle it. But I think it's do-able. So that's something you might see in the future! Other than that, $5 patrons can now see a Speed Draw of a couple frames from the new Monte Cristo animatic :D We'll try to get more content on Patreon for you guys soon. Hope you enjoyed this little update If you haven't visited our DeviantArt accounts in the past week, you probably wouldn't know about the little war we had: Basically it started when I high-jacked Annabelle's DA to post "Pack Mentality" concept art, cause she wasn't gonna do it herself. It caused her to get a mountain of notifications, and in retaliation, she bombed my DA with images of her OC. We bickered through status posts, and all of this amounted to us placing a bet of sorts. We're gonna see how well we go doing each other's jobs. I shall draw an animatic, and she is going to edit it. I'm not sure when this animatic will be done of course, Ann's using the computer to work on the last Monte Cristo animatic, so I don't have a lot of time to use it. Once we're able to get a second computer thing's will hopefully be a little faster. And if you're curious about which musical I'm going to make an animatic for, I was thinking something along the lines of this. Anyway I hope this was as funny to you as it was to me when I first saw it XD And if you didn't know, we have a couple more new designs on our TeePublic store! These were inspired by the "In the Dark of the Night" animatic we made.
Welcome to our new website! It's so exciting to finally have it finished! Little peeved that Annabelle didn't help out with it as much as I would've liked, but she's been working on the animatic and commissions so I guess it balances out. So what do you think? I've been working on this website for the past few months, so hope it all works. On this new website, you can expect regular blog posts from yours truely; Victoria Potts. I'll be making posts about anything really; important news I want to tell you, updates on the animatics (though most of those will be happening on our Patreon), and tips and stuff about making animatics. I'm also thinking about Animation Spotlight posts: I always come across animated videos or music videos that I like, and thought it would be cool to have blog posts about them and some of the techniques they use. (This can include animated feature films, or sketchy test animations, anything that catches my eye). They probably won't be very common though, just when I find a video I want to talk about. While you're here, check out the: "Concept to Completion" page for our Pack Mentality Animation. I talk about the process of creating the animation and all the drafts we went through to get the final version. It's a good read if you're curious about that sort of thing. Pack Mentality - Storyboards Feel free to contact us if you have any questions, and read our FAQs to see if your question has been answered there.
